Simply Meditation One Day Course 28th April 2012
When life becomes busy and demanding you may find yourself craving some calm and relaxation. Simply Meditation is a one day course, which aims to teach you how to meditate.
Meditation is a life skill, which can be easily learnt and practised. This course offers a down to earth approach with practical benefits. Some people find meditation can bring – a clearer and more creative mind, increased effectiveness, clarity of thought, help with sleep, improved health, broader awareness, greater happiness and an inner state of calm.
This one day course will take you through up to 6 different meditations each suitable for a beginner.
Becky Wright and Sally Barmes from New Leaf Life Design will be facilitating the day.
Becky started teaching meditation in 1998. Her work led to an eight-year appointment to teach at HMP Shepton Mallet Prison. She now has a vibrant counselling service called New Leaf Counselling, where she combines meditation techniques with counselling to help people with a range of problems and issues.
Sally trained as an integrative body psychotherapist, she is also skilled at enabling people to understand illness and physical pain (real and/or psychosomatic), and how breathing, posture, and movement can affect emotions and vice versa.
She also incorporates tuition in relaxation and meditation within her work as a psychotherapist. This workshop will be for a full day from 10am to 4pm including a lunch and refreshments.
